Jeff,
I'd love to buy a flat of the Herter's 8's, please.
I'll be at the shoot Saturday with my brother -- you've met me before, through Rob and Tony.
Thanks much!

Great looking Wirehairs -- such a wonderful breed! We love the pair we have. Smart, sweet, fun and goofy (in a good way) - pussycats in the house, with an "ON" switch you can't believe.

Gotta love the model 12's -- I'm blaming Rob and Tony for the pair I have.
My prewar 28" solid rib 16 weighs 6 lbs. 15 oz.
Enjoy!

Mine runs a bit heavier -- it's a late prewar Model 12 in 16 gauge (serial # 883,xxx), 28 inch solid rib barrel. 6 lbs, 15 oz on digital scale.
With a full choke, it's a marvelous late-season phea ... |

Bob,
I found an old post with some more info on the Scheel's guns buried in it, including some notes from my brother and a couple of photos of my Citori.

Hi Bob,
Here's what I've learned...
My brother's Citori, as I thought, has a serial number about 25 digits higher than mine. He doesn't recall much about the run, save it was around 2001 and all ... |

I'd be interested in the approximate serial number of your Citori, if you'd be willing to share it, please.
My Scheel's Citori 16, which looks to be a twin to yours, is serial number 2835x MZ131. ... |

Nice looking dogs, I have a pair of wirehairs sleeping at my feet as I type this.
I can't help with 1 1/16 oz. loads, but I've had good luck with 1 1/8 oz. loads in Federal hulls, using Longshot.
