I'm currently loading 14 grains of Perfect Pattern under 3/4 oz shot in a DR-16 wad. Crimps are dished enough so that I've taken to dropping a sugar pop cereal puff on top before precrimping. No ide ... |

The 16 gauge action bar will interchange with the 20-gauge only if the 20 is built on the 12-gauge frame. It is not the same as the later 20 gauge built on the LW frame. |

Got my copy yesterday. Went to the 16-gauge recipes and what do I see for one-ounce loads in Fiocchi hulls but 19 grains of Green Day powder. That cannot possibly be an innocent typo. |

Has anyone used WST in the 16? I reload mostly 3/4 and 7/8 oz for practice and haven't been able to restock my usual powders (Red Dot/Promo and Clays) for those loads. I did find a jug of WST which ... |

Unique and 20/28 have the same burn rate. They have different densities, 20/28 being more dense, so are not equivalent in volume for a given weight. You can use the same recipes for both by weight f ... |

I have reloaded the 12-gauge B&P hulls and found them to retain heat after firing, much more so than other shells. No idea why this should be, but it's very noticeable. |

I shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays with my 16-gauge Citori White Lightning. Never have felt handicapped with it, and I reload shot weights of 3/4, 7/8, and 1 oz respectively for the three games. ... |

I load 7/8 oz in the SG-16 wad and drop a 28-gauge overshot card on top of the shot. Flattens the crimp and has no effect on patterns that I can see. Much easier than stuffing a filler in the wad. |

I think the silver colored bases are actually zinc coated steel. A magnet will tell. Winchester made a bunch of those at their own plant back in the 1990s after they dropped the compression formed h ... |

My source tells me alliant does not make powders.
Alliant makes powders at their Radford, VA, plant. Some rifle powders are outsourced, but AFAIK all their shotgun powders are made in house. |

My 2021 White Lightning came with a 1/2" thick Iside, which I replaced with a 1" Iside. Got it from Browning cheaper than Midwest. |

A thin 28-gauge overshot card dropped on top of the shot before the crimp starter station will take care of your problem. |

Alliant says 20/28 produces the same pressure as Unique by charge weight. It was formulated to be more dense because when Winchester went to HS hulls in the 28 gauge, they were shorter and the normal ... |
