Tubing a 16ga removes all 16ga-ness, so there is zero value in using that as your carrier unless it is your best fitting/shooting gun, and seversl negatives.

This actually sounds quite good.
I would buy one of these inexpensive Turkish guns to shoot 16ga skeet, so I don't have to pick up hulls from my mod12 or Auto5 sweet sixteen.
