I had a couple boxes of 1-1/4 ounce 16 gauge loads. Shot one in a 6-1/4 pound gun and gave them all away. I have a nice 12 gauge Francotti that shoots 1-1/4 fine if I think I need it...

Both are good for sharptails but I'd use 1 ounce Federals for ruffs...don't need the extra shot. Good load for Timberdoodles too.

I have a couple French guns with slings. They are really handy, as I use the guns for dog training. Even when hunting they come in handy. They do not affect my shooting, and add only little weight.

Looks pretty clean.If it has a tight action and okay triggers buy it. I especially like the white line recoil pad.

I had an old French Guild Gun with no maker markings that I bought in Maine in 20 ...
