Jeff, I bought a 16 gauge specific short kit directly from MEC (phone order). I never found it in their online catalog, but they did have the best price.

There's not much to find here in 16 gauge shells. The Big 5 sporting goods stores often have a decent price on Remington Game loads (~$5/box). You can sometimes find Winchester game loads ...

It is a type of spreader wad with a built in X post. BP still sells a DX12 wad if you are curious about the wad, but I don't think the DX16 is available anymore.
