Dave in Maine,

I agree however I use the #7 RST under the 1st trigger for close up pointed Pheasants, and #6's under the 2nd trigger for the longer shots.

Measure the Chambers of your old Parker gun, it may have been made for 2 1/2" shells.
We recommend using the RST 2 1/2" shells even if the gun was made for 2 3/4" shells ...
