I'm bringing this back from the dead as I'd like to start using this gun more and haven't because of its tendency to slam fire, regardless of where my trigger finger is. Do I need to find a new trigg ...

I've been tuned out for a LONG time. Does anybody have the status on these? The WAA16 clone is flattering, but I generally reload Federal cases, so this is more my style.

There are also a number of these in the files section in the society's Yahoo group.

I finally got to shoot my 20's vintage model 12 that my brother-in-law and wife bought me for Christmas. It's just like shooting my great-grandfather's; it's a great feeling.

Out of about 50 round ...

Endless source of Remington hulls? That would be nice.

FWIW, the 8-point black Remington promo hulls that I've had took 209 primers just fine; they were from the early 90s.

I finally fired off the two boxes of 16 gauge Rio that I had at 5-stand yesterday. Recoil was nice and it seemed like good stuff to me. Now to see how well they hold up to reloading.

I've been marking the heads on some of my hulls as I load them to keep track. I have your experience with the Remingtons--black mouths after 2-3 firings and the mouths get bad about the same time. T ...

I'm using Unique, 7/8 oz, and an R16 and my Remington cases look terrible and a few have split down the side. My Federals, on the other hand, are up to 5-6 reloadings and look terrific, although I'm ...

Wow that's high-dollar. I can get those at Sportsman's for $3.99/box.

Pricing aside, the discussion on that load around here is that they are not recoil-friendly, if that's an issue for you.

I get this sometimes when loading Heavy Dove hulls in 12 gauge. It's always been 90+ degrees in the garage; I hadn't thought to try it indoors or cool the hulls first.

I load them almost exclusively. They have a paper basewad, so you have to watch for separation. Some people on here don't like them for that reason.

There are plenty of loads to be found for them ...

FWIW, I just picked up some very old Red Dot myself and the red dots are a dark magenta. Maybe they were that color back then, or the dye reacts over time.

I'd take some of that powder and primers ...

MEC's chart will be too light; start at their recommended bushing, weight it, and work your way up the bushings until you find the one that throws your desired charge.
