Ginger from Harry Marx Hi-Grade Imports notified me Friday my Arrizabalaga Boss Hi-Grade Round Action will be shipped Monday. From the photos it appears to have been worth into the 17th month wait. Harry and Ginger have been wonderful to work with. If I can determine how to post the photos I will.
No, I am not the least bit excited. |

Snipe Hunter posted the photos for me. I did not think about making a link.
Thank you, revdocdrew. |

Matt, an update on the Arrizabalaga with all smiles.
The gun arrived yesterday. I must say it is striking. I am not sure the photos did it justice. The wood has a terrific finish. It has a reddish tint with golden burst when in the sun actually looks like they glow. The wood to metal is excellent and the engraving is wow.
The LOP is 14 7/8 with barrel length 28. I was hoping it would come in around 6 ½ pounds, the actual weight is 6 pounds 9 ounces. I missed my guess it was going to be lighter when I first handled it. I have weighed it several times still thinking it should weigh less.
I shot 20 shells into my pattering plate at different distances using Remington 1 oz 7 ½ factory loads late yesterday. The POI from both barrels was dead center estimated about 60/40 and the patterns looked well distributed. The ejectors performed strong and well timed. The triggers are the best I have ever used. Nearly like pulling a set trigger; no creep, no movement, no anything, just absolutely crisp. My trigger scale is not the best but it appears a bit over 3 ½ front trigger a bit over 4 back trigger. It certainly comes to the shoulder with ease.
At this point I am a happy camper.
Regards,
Royce |
