Thanks! This stock is original to the gun, but it has a repair at the receiver.

Folks, for many of my 80 years I was a 16 gauge shooter, but now I'm in rehab and trying to go straight. This is the last of my 16 gauge guns. It's a nice gun, but with over 300 sightings on this site there is not even one offer or comment about it.

Many think the Remington Model 31 was the best pump action shotgun ever designed. The 16 gauge has many of the attributes we admire: it is built on the 20 gauge frame, it's quick and it's reasonably light.

Robin ,

Maybe it's a sign not to sell your last 16ga ! Laughing

I see nothing wrong with your gun , and I happen like the poly choke for it's versatility and your gun looks to be in good shape . I have always wanted a model 31 , but I really need to sell a few of my guns before I buy another , or I would certainly make you an offer .

Good luck ............Mark

BTW, I have an alternate stock for this. It is original to the gun, but it has a repair at the receiver.

Robin,
Your gun is beautiful. I would think someone will buy it. I have one and they are super nice guns. A fair price for as clean as it looks.
Good Luck,
Gary

I have done the Rehab been straight for 30 years. I wish all the best it has to offer you. You need to have one 16ga just so you can say you have one. Trust me on this.

How much does it weigh and what is the length of pull to the butt plate? The photos show two different stocks on the gun. Do both come with it or only one. If the latter, which? What type of repair was done to the head of the stock at the receiver as mentioned in your posts? Lastly, what is the condition of the bore? Russ

Russ, the Model 31 is about as heavy as a Model 12. It's all steel and not a light weight. I'll try to get it to the Post Office for something accurate.

The original stock came to me with a poor repair. The broken part was removed, cleaned up and epoxied, then the stock refinished. The LOP on both stocks is about 14 14/" - and both will come with the gun. The bore is bright and shiny with no pitting.

Robin, I already has its brother, in fact its twin brother. Great slide action shotgun and I happen to like Poly Chokes.
