Those wood stocks have to go. I think a nice set of zebra composite stocks would set off the pink in the receiver nicely. |

I dare not take my sixteen to the woods with the pink panther for fear they would sneak off and dirty dance. That is one sexy piece.

If you're going to go that far, you may as well screw in a curb feeler or two into the stock and hang some fuzzy dice off the forend. May as well go all the way! Just sayin'. |

the green barrel was a posters idea from the original posting . Houts was a little off on their colors - was supposed to be purple . HP is what they sent and you can't always tell the color till it dries . After some back and forth with Houts , the c/o offered a free kit and I took flat dark gray . That's what the barrel actually is - the gun is all Duracoat and it can't rust on those 85-90 degree prairie days ! I need to darken the receiver top - the flashy HP and my retinopathy don't always see eye to eye ! It is a 5 shot 48 sportsman and REALLY is a great pheas gun . just keep a proper distance RENO !! |

I'm sorry, but I guffawed something serious when I read this. I hadn't thought about curb feelers in 40 years! That was too out of the blue...
16gaDavis, hunting the plains with you just one, more, time is on my bucket list.

Of course you will have to have a matching vest to wear while hunting with that gun! You won't have to worry about blaze orange because people will be able to see you for miles! |

Gentlemen,
An old conservative double gun guy like me would never even touch it. Just looking at it sends chills up my spine.
Each to his own however! Some young lady may love that gun.

Perfect for PEACOCK hunting. It is gun and decoy in one... |
