Bitchen'!

I made the mistake of getting a 16ga '21 several years ago. If it's your first one, BE CAREFUL!! They attract others!!

Ol' Cowboy who used to be on here suggested I go ahead and get it and use them both when I asked "What if I like it too much and stop shooting my Model 12??"

What happens is the other guns in the safe are mean to the 21, so the 21 gets lonely and needs a companion- so you breakdown and get her a friend- nest thing you know, there are more 21s in the safe- but at least they aren't lonely anymore and the 12s just have to deal with being left behind when the 21s get to go on trips. They have no one to blame but themselves- if they had been nice to the 21 from the start- none of this would have happened.

Very nice. Very very nice.

Can't say I'm jealous because I just bought almost the identical gun. So far, it's wonderful. One big reason I bought it is that it fit me perfectly. For me, it may be a pile of lonely Beretta sxs guns (four of which are 16ga, my favorites....)

Really hope you can make it to the Sweet 16 Shoot in St Paul on May 16. Should be a lot of fun again this year.

Details I say! Vent rib a bit of a rarity. Diamond checkering on forend signals Eisenhower era . Chokes?barrel length? Come on my man! Cough up the story! Inherited from heir to ketchup fortune? What say you to have acquired such a treasure? Long beards and ring necks soon to quake in your wake! Cursed be your children should you part with said treasure!

redlab,
Beautiful gun. Now it's time to burn some powder! Is that a factory rib?
Regards,
Jeff

I tell my wife good shot guns breed and they just magically appear in the safe. She thinks I'm a little dotty anyway.

That's a good one. My standard tactics are;

It only cost $100! (Or whatever is the current lo-ball value)

Q. Is that a new gun? A. Oh, I've had that one for awhile!

Generally I camouflage new guns by hiding them among all the numerous others. Quantity does have a value in itself.

Of all the M21's none have (to my eye) the proportional, svelte looks of the 16, especially the ones with splinter forends. But I'd love to have this one....

Certainly looks like an original-framed vent rib gun, and a very nice one.

Waiting for letter from Cody. Vent Rib is original. Barrel is 28" marked Full & Mod. It has not been refinished. The previous owner(Care Taker) has many fine shotguns in his collection, he sometimes offers one up for sale I have purchased a few over the years. The gun was not a family heirloom at least until NOW !
My dad was a double guy but mostly Lefever Nitro Specials. Nothing wrong with that. The first Rooster I ever shot (50 years ago) was with a Nitro special 12 ga.
The Winchester fits me perfect much like my 16 AH fox A grade that I use for upland. Now I can't wait to take this one afield. My grandson just turned 18 earlier this month someday it will be his.
Thanks to all for the kind words...

A very handsome piece of classic M-21 walnut too.
