Does anyone have one of these imported by Traditions? I have seen them around for about 1000.00 and was looking for another field gun. How are they and what do they usually weigh?
Thanks Lance |

Lance,
I just finished doing an evaluation on one. The one I had weighed right at 7 pounds. There seems to be a lot of extra wood on the gun. If I would have had the gun to keep, I could have probably shaved about eight ounces from it with some slimming down of the forend and the stock.
Mechanically, it performed fine. I shot about 2,000 rounds through it on birds and at clays and didn't have a single problem. It was a well-made and reliable gun, although as I said, a little on the heavy side.
IMO.
Terry

I've had the Traditions, Fausti Real Gold for about 1 yr. now, I have shot about 200 rounds through it, I had the triggers worked on to lighten up and shorten the travel length and the stock shortened for me plus kickeeze pad, since the work, Ihave shot it the majority of the 200 rounds or so. I like the gun, no problems with it, it weighs at 6 pounds 9 oz. I have a DeHaan OU and the Fausti is 7 lbs. even. and noticibly heavier. I like both. |
