i took my 2 pheasant guns out this morning to practice for next weeks opener. the 870 16ga and the 12ga citori.
shot 4 rounds of 5-stand, two rounds apiece, and the 870 bested the citori by one clay in each round.
the 20-something kid pulling for me was damned impressed by the way some of the clays just disolved into thin air when the federal 7/8oz high velocity loads zeroed in on them. he evened asked me where i bought it, how much, etc............i might have a convert to the 16ga haven!
as for the citori, there might be a "for sale" sign hanging on the trigger guard before long. |

There have been lots of threads re: 'What's the best gun for ...?'
The answer is the gun YOU shoot the best with the loads YOU use-CONFIDENCE is 90% of good shooting!
And good job making another 16g believer |
