Looking for the value of 16ga superlight. Used, 26" barrels, invector chokes included.
a few dents on the English stock.
I'm kind of new to the o/u game, and I'm a sucker for 16ga (sentiment maybe? that's what I learned to shoot with).
One of these came up for sale near me, thinking about picking it up. all the metal looks good.
Thoughts? Value? Goods/bads of experiences with this model (though I know that's a bit OT). |

yeah, that's the one I'm looking at. the store is local to me and they have it for sale and on gb.
with tax it will be 1265 or so. I'm thinking this is a fair deal. I use my guns and they are not collector pieces so the couple dents don't worry me. this would primarily be a sporting clays gun, though it may see some bunnies and grouse from time to time also.
my 16s include:
Stevens 94C (first shotgun I ever shot)
Rem 11-48
870 wingmaster
I figure I'm missing the O/U to have the grand slam in 16s (single shot, pump, semi-auto, and O/U). |

$1265 to my mind is a fair deal. |

I think you'd better move on it before someone bids it out from under you. 26" is the preferred barrel length for Citori Superlights. That's an exceptional price for a lightly used one in the box. You won't find a better gun at a better price IMO. Plus, most of the scratches shown in the pics look like reflections from an overhead light. The minor ones can be masked w/ a black or brown Sharpie pen, filled w/ poly varnish applied with a small art brush, leveled w/ pumice on a damp rag, then buffed out with rotten stone or a mild polish. Good luck. |

I have an Upland Special . Same gun but has 24" barrels. I hunt grouse over setters and I love this gun. It is currently my favorite bird gun and I am really a SXS shooter. |

I have a 16 ga White Lightning with 26" barrels. Most all my other guns are SxS but I love that Citori. Shoot it very well. |

well, it went for a little bit more than I really can afford at this time (have a newborn at home and wife is out of work currently).
I'll keep an eye out for good deals on them though, they are on "the list". I could always sell a pistol or rifle to make the purchase now that I want it enough. |
