| Having FF issues on my Citori - have had previous problems on RGL's on the top barrell which I cured by not using RGL's but now having FF on both barrells using RIO ammo. Suggestions? |

If the interior of a Citori gets dirty it can clog up the firing pins and slow them down and/or decrease their protrusion. Pull the stock and remove the firing pins and their springs and make sure everything's clean. If that doesn't work then bringing it to a gunsmith who can measure firing pin protrusion is in order.

| Wife's had that on a box of lead I had reloaded for trap. Only the lower barrel was misfiring. Checked the rims and they were thinner than others that fired reliably. It appears I sized them a bit much... There are a few threads about 'only the lower barrel' misfiring on here. |

...Sonia's brand new '20 Citori White Lightning had same problem.
Took it to Bob Day in Pico Rivera. He said this was a somewhat common problem, pulled the stock and dressed some part of the mechanism with a file. Sorry, I don't recall what it was, anyway, seems to be functioning as intended now. |

Cleaning out the firing pin ports in a break open gun's breech face w/o removing the stock can be quick and easy. I simply make sure the pins are cocked first. I then use the applicator tube supplied w/ a can of WD40 to squirt in a very conservative amount into the ports, followed up with a gentle probing with a piece of suitably sized soft steel or brass wire to loosen and push out any accumulated junk if the gun design allows it. Easy does it is the way. We ain't trying to pressure wash the breech out w/ lube or drill for oil with the wire here.  |
