Walt, beautiful pictures again. I did not see any dogs though, were you trying to walk those running little suckers up out of that desert solo? |

I think my father-in-law's last year hunting was his 82nd. He said it was just getting to be "Too much like work". He has gone out with us since and sets up a chair to watch and keep the little dogs company. He will still gun when we are dog training though. Great story and pics! |

Good for you! You remind me of my dad who was still hunting upland birds at your age (except he generally hunted with a 20 ga. Ithaca Model 37). He passed away 2-1/2 years ago at age 95.
I just turned 73 and can still keep up with much younger guys hunting Kansas pheasants in thigh-high CRP. Just hope I can do what you are doing when I am your age.
I love your photo essays! Thanks for sharing them. |

Happy Birthday Walt!! Have been away from the forum for a while with work and all. Happened to have a few minutes today and decided to see what was new.
Your thread has made my day, as you see today (1/19) I turn 60. Lots of mixed feeling today.
Seeing your post helped me realize that there still a lot that can be done and there is still time. Thanks for helping me see the big picture.
I am going duck hunting tomorrow, and hopefully will shoot one to celebrate both our birthdays, or maybe 2 or 3!!!!
