File this under interesting / optimistic / for what it's worth:
http://barrettsovereign.com/rutherford/

91626 Rutherford Over/Under, 16 gauge, 3″ Chamber, 26″ Barrel – $2,520
91628 Rutherford Over/Under, 16 gauge, 3″ Chamber, 28″ Barrel – $2,520

Like what I read in the details, but am most pleased with:
• Receiver sizes are scaled to their respective gauges.

Cheers!

Never heard of them. Where are the guns made? Never mind. Read where they're made in Italy

cowdoc87 - You're close enough to drive over for a field inspection and a full review narrative / pictorial for the forum! Well, that is if Barrett has a retail location connected to their manufacturing headquarters.

According to this article the guns are made by stefano fausti. https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/2/11/editors-picks-2016-barrett-sovereign-shotguns/

@ byrdog -- I wondered the same thing... and contemplated if it was an omission from the narrative to clarify that the 16 was in the 2.75 family... maybe we'll get a report from the field on true dimensions.

@ mcrewz -- Thanks for that article. Good to know. Fausti provides some attractive models... and their guns look good too. Very Happy

Has anyone checked these out? I'm wondering what they weigh. Looks like a nice gun. I'm not partial to a coin finished receiver but for the price I think I could overlook that.

The weight of the BR110 is a disappointment (7.5 pounds) even though stated to be a pound less. I just hope this gun is more correctly built at the 6.5 range.

So I called Barrett today. When I told them I had a question about their shotguns they transferred me to to a gal who knew absolutely nothing about guns. She was obviously looking at their website and told me she didn't know how much the gun weighed. I asked her if anyone there might know and she put me on hold. When she came back she told me the gun should weigh between 6 and 7 pounds. I told he that was quite a range and it would be nice to know within a few ounces. She put me on hold and then came back and said it would weigh 6.7 pounds. That would be great if it's true but I'm not very confident of that after my conversation!
