Well, I shot it today...
I bought this Blaser the other day from a fella in BC. I think it is an older B95 bockbuschflinte. Judging by the basic scroll work and the fairly plain, but not unattractive wood, I think its the "prestige" model. Its chambered 16ga (2 3/4") over 5.6x50R magnum. It has a claw mounted Hertel & Reuss 2-7 scope too. I patterned it on the grease board and on a turkey target and I am guessing it's full choke as it seemed pretty dang tight. I need to sight in the rifle, but it went bang as well. I plan on having this one on hand if Wyle E Coyote snoops around this spring when set up for turkey.
There sure isn't much info on these guns. I posted over on Double Gun asking how to take it apart and it isn't like the new ones. Not a big issue as it is really clean and tight, but wondering how many BBF brothers are out there...
Ninepointer...you there? |

Another nice gun Steve, we usually see ol wiley as well when turkey hunting. That gun will be an excellent combo for bird and canine.
You all ready for turkey season? My son has got his eyes on a bunch of birds and permission a while ago.
It's great now that he has his licence. Another reason for him to go for a drive- scouting.
Good luck with the new gun!!

5.6x50R...223 and a bit more...coyote medicine..the 222 Rem mag was the original brass which was lengthened for a bit more total volume. Should launch 50 grains at about 3600 fps |

That's what I'm hoping Jon. I have only taken one shot through the rifle. It's got a nice set trigger up front for it. I shot some skeet with the 16 on Wednesday. The targets I hit disappeared. It's got to be full choke. I need a bit more length so I'm going to try it with a slip on pad next. |
