When using the Poly-wad spreader disc, do you need to reduce the shot charge by 1/8 oz, or go to a 1/8 oz bigger wad??

Thanks,
Nate

Neither. The loads I use, no need to reduce any shot charge. Everything still fits.
May be different with different loads

The manufacturer's guidance is to use valid 1 1/8 ounce reloading data with all things the same save reduce the shot load 1/8 to 1 ounce.

You use the same wad as the 1 1/8 load

One combination that I use is a Herters hull, Claybusters 1 oz. blue wad, 1 oz. of 8 shot, Spreder on top. Makes a nice crimp.

If the standard load hull isn't being crushed at the base keep on w/the load--
