Hello everybody, I am new to forum and hope some of you can give me some advice. The threaded portion of my 16 ga 11-48 magazine sheared off this afternoon. I found the threaded cap, follower and spring cap. Magazine spring probably in the pond. Do I have any options to replace the magazine tube or do I just have an incomplete pile of parts now?
Thanks for any help. Joe

Welcome aboard.

Do you know a talented lathe op who could make you a threaded end piece and braze it on to the broken mag tube?

or cut to the chase...

or sell off the parts from this gun and use the proceeds to help fund a working 48

Best of luck with the project...

Thanks for info and warm welcome! Not sure what I want to do yet. I inherited the gun and was not really interested in a different gauge at the time but I wont have a gun I can't shoot so I added 16 ga to my reloading operation. Since then I got hooked on 16 ga. After going through several powders etc I found one oz #8 over 21 grs Unique with Claybuster CB010016 wad Rio hulls was a good load for informal skeet and such. Actually shot it better than my A5 12 ga.
I had been thinking about a double barrel in 16 ga but have not seen any in my price range yet. If I part the 48 out and haul a load of junk to the scrapyard I might be able to swing something.
