I have an A5 on order, and would like to add weight to the forend/buttstock for target shooting. Was wondering if there's a weighted forend cap that will fit.

Dave -- I'll ask Darren Hassen when I see him.
BTW I finally shot mine for the first time Tuesday night. The factory weight for my 26" shot well -- ran station 2 and the mountain. was shooting 10z hand loads 1200fps.
Cheers, John

I handled one at our local Sportsmans Warehouse and it was very light and felt good. Not sure about the cap but I bet you'll like the gun!

I bet a 10oz load in a 6# gun would hurt pretty bad Shocked

I haven't shot one, but from what I've been told, they're soft shooting for their weight. My issue is I'm used to an 8# A400. A sub 6 pound A5 will feel like a fly swatter.

Or an upland bird swatter!

Love mine. Didn't feel a kick all quail season.

(Love the rest too.)

Finally got my A5, and shot it for the first time this morning on 5-stand. I'm in awe of how soft this gun is for its weight. Recoil mitigation is as good, or better than a gas gun. It's definitely softer than my 7# model 12. My first 3 shells were 7/8 oz. reloads at around 1200 fps. Cycled flawlessly.
I'd still like to add about a pound to this gun; I found myself blowing way ahead of crossers, and stopping. Overall though very pleased, can't wait 'till October Very Happy

Pumpkingun, got plenty of odds and ends scrap iron up in the pile. We could find a piece to your liking and tack weld a chunk on to get you to that magic weight.

As long as I can mount my flashlight, Swiss army knife, and can opener.
