My supply of wads is running low. I shoot mostly skeet and some sporting clays. I reload 7/8 oz of #8 lead in Cheddite hulls. I am not against using pinto beans as a filler and have used both Claybuster and Remington wads in the past. I do like the DR 16 wad when I can get it. I have not tried the newer 7/8 oz Claybuster wad or any BP lead wads.

Where is the best place to purchase 16 gauge wads for the most economical price?

I buy wads from Gamaliel, If you buy 4 bags shipping is only $12. I use the claybuster 7/8 in my 2 1/2 in rem hulls loaded with #9 to use in my older A5 for skeet.

You can try Graf's for the DR-16, their shipping is very reasonable also.

For skeet I use the 20ga claybuster wad the green one. they are $3.00 less a bag than the 16ga wads Have to use a flake powder like green dot or unique or the disk/flake versions of the Vectan powders with the euro hulls to inhibit powder migration.

I use all 3 but lately have been using BPI's Sporting 16. They work very well with Federal and Cheddite hulls. Were actually made for Cheddites or so some claim.

I use the SG16 by the 5k case (fit perfectly in Ched style hulls) for short range and when my current stash of SP16's used up I'm looking toward the CB wads for my long range loads.

BTW; I have 1 bag of DR's posted in the for sale section (along with other stuff) if interested PM me with a decent offer.
