The Federal hull is better suited for decent payloads of shot--switch to the Remmy black for those light loads and I would also go with Unique Wink

The low pressure group has done many tests on the Federal hull but not with the SP16 wad. Federal hull, 1 oz., Univ Clays 22 gr, Fed 209A, SG16 Wad, 8,200 psi, 1220 fps. This from 96 Hodgdon.
Best,
Ron

Actually, Unique and Universal clays are so close in burn rate as to ignore the difference. However, the two throw a bit differently and require different powder bushings.

As for the 7/8 ounce load, I'd switch to Green dot or International clays. They are both a bit faster, cleaner, and will give more uniform ballistics in this lighter load.

NO NO NO

You need to contact RWG and join the low pressure group or at least get a copy of Chuckerman's loading data before you blow your sweet old Sterlingworth all to hell.
