I picked up 2 flats last season for that price. I may have to do it again. Those hulls make great reloads! |

Cabela's still has them on sale and in stock this evening. Plus free shipping. Plus they were offering $20 off $200 purchases with a code they will email to you. So I picked up 4 flats for $200 + tax and free shipping to my door.
Note that the acquisition of Cabela's by Bass Pro completed today so no telling how much longer they might offer the Herters shells at these great prices. |

Based off of Cabela's website, Cabela's is going to become more of a hunting store and lower its fishing line and vice versa for Bass Pro. Cabela's is still going to continue the herters brand and Bass Pro still going to continue the RedHead brand. |

I went and shot a couple of boxes and about half of the wads I collected had not opened up. The wad petals are held together by small tabs of plastic. I began to doubt my lead, swing, and timing. Turns out it wasn’t me at all. Just an FYI. The hulls should load fine though. |

Hi Matt,
Not sure how to say this but......many wads have tabs on them that do not break apart........it doesn’t affect patterns at all. |

Yes, no issue when petals do not separate, pattern is just fine

I’ll have to disagree. When no petals break apart it will effect it substantially. |

I know the wad will eventually separate from the shot. But when you see the wad travel 60-75 yards it becomes like a slug. I will test and report back. |

I don't think you could get a wad to travel 75 yards if you launched it backwards. Not at shotgun velocities. I've patterned these shells and they work just fine. Used them to win trophies at some big SxS shoots, outshooting 12 gauge guns. Seen the 1oz 6s take game farm birds cleanly out to 45 yards. I believe they use Gualandi wads which are excellent - superior to the DR-16 (gasp). Sorry, but you can't blame your poor shooting on this ammo. Its almost never the ammo's fault. Just is.
