Had a friend with a Galazan bore gauge measure my chokes:
New SW16
Bore: .667
Skeet: .0015
IC: .005
Mod: .009
Full: .041

Basically the same as the older std. Invector chokes; IC is really skeet, Mod is IC, and Full is too tight to pattern well with most loads.
The skeet choke would a good steel IC choke, or for TSS
I've ordered an I-mod choke, will report back when it arrives.

I'd brought my collection in back in January and had one of our lab techs go play with them with their tools. Not sure what they used or how it compares, can get more detail if enough folks are interested. They measured each tube 3x...

Lead Full - .044

Lead Light Full/Steel X-Full - .034

Lead Imp.Mod/Steel Full - .025

Lead Mod/Steel Imp.Mod - .012

Lead Light Mod/Steel Imp Mod - .009

Lead Imp Cyl/Steel Mod - .0085

Lead SK/Steel Imp Cyl - .002

Lead Cyl/Steel Cyl - +.005

Question. What model 16 ga Brownings have the new DS tubes? I looked on the Browning web site and found none. Or are these DS tubes designed for guns other than Brownings? Thanks for the replies in advance.

Thanks skeetx. I wonder if any future 16 ga models will have them. BTW, I did not find any 16 gauge BPS models being offered as of now. Have they been discontinued?

Re: BPS 16s
They're still listed on Browning's website; Hunter and Upland Special.

Thanks pumpgun. Yesterday, I checked BPS on their site and missed the more options icon on the far right of the heading bar. Found it today after reading your post. I also found some 16 ga. Citori models in the same way. But none come with the DS chokes. Maybe later.

Damn those tiny little arrow icons. Too hard to see for a geezer like me. Laughing

Just got my IMOD tube from Midway; comparing it to my other tubes with a digital Vernier, it's about .023. Just the ticket for phez over my Springers.

Both of my 725s require the DS choke tubes.
