Nice title! Anyone asks what warm barrels are, show them this.

It appears that most of these are the collared Eurasian dove (ones with the black band around their neck) of which there is no limit. 15 limit per day on mourning doves.

Thanks, Skeet. I'm aware of the Texas game regs, but the OP is in Arizona which was the reason for my question. (that and the fact that I'm not a dove hunter, so I don't know diddly about Eurasian Collared Doves.)

After chukar and ruffed grouse, mourning doves are my favorite bird to eat. How are these Eurasian doves for the table? About the same as mourning doves?

Actually I think they taste a tad bit better than mourning doves.
Certainly more bites for your bang.

I have only golfed in the great state of Arizona; never hunted. Is January a good time of year for hunting this wonderful tasting bird with only a self-imposed limit?

I am going to call AZ F&G tomorrow!! Thanks for sharing the tip!

Sincerely,
