When did Cabelas raise the price of their Herters 16 dove loads? Looks like they are just under 7 bucks a box now. |

Their website can be weird. For instance...
The #6 are 6.49/box on the website right now. But only if you click on the “box” item, if you click on the “per case” prices a case f them still listed at 69.99.
Could just buy 10 boxes and pay 64.99 and save five bucks. If you have any of those $20/$50 off $100/$200 can knock per box price down further depending on how many you grab.
Only 6’s though, 8’s still 6.99/box.
Exact opposite with the 7.5’s. Those are listed at 8.99 if you buy “per box”. 79.99 “per case”.
Just sharing in case anyone in market for 6’s |

Well, I loaded up a 100 of them. They were once fired. About 10 of them split in the crimp area after the wad was inserted and the crimp applied.
Usually that happens after several re loadings. I was not very pleased with that result. |

The #6 and #8 are loaded with 1 ounce of shot. The #7 1/2 are loaded with 1 1/8 ounce of shot. I suspect the #7 1/2 are a hotter load, too, but can't say so for sure. But there's your price difference. Being cheap ... no, thrifty ... I only buy the #8 shells. |

Thanks for the heads up on the RGL's Hayseed. I just ordered 5 flats best price I have seen in a few years. Maybe they get back to the 4.99 and 3.99 a box days. |

Not only is that a great deal, those are solid loads for either clay targets or birds. They always pattern and perform well for me. |

Should also note that if you don't reload the once fired hulls would easily sell for 5 to 10 cents apiece. That drops the cost per box by another $1.25 to $2.50. |
