Not sure what this sold for as it was long gone when I did a recent search. but DAMN!

That wood is amazing AND it was a long tang.

i learned the hard way with highly figured wood like that...my gran lightning 16 gauge had really nice wood...the stock cracked at the pistol grip...had it repaired, no big deal, but it is still pretty visible...

Hate to hear that. I just bought a new Gran Lightning 16 ga. Fifty rounds through it so far. And it’s still good.

I bought my grade vi from gunrus a few years ago. Beautiful Grade VI, long tang. 1988. 28 inch barrels. Just a great gun that I cherish and will pass it down through my son to his son.
