Anyone know anything about the Wards Western Field mod 60 in 16ga? Good/Bad?
Any idea what one in good condition is bringing? None on GB or GI. Not a pumpgun fan but a local guy is selling one cheap.

Wards was my first shotgun (12ga) it worked fine in goose-pit except every once in a while it would nick the shell rim enough to burr it as it ejected. Mine was an early one with very good wood.

I have one that's modified choke. Parts are dang hard to find. However they are built like a tank. I used mine for loads that screwed up or test of new loads. Can't hurt them.

I have one made by Noble Shotguns. Amazing how many different models and makers they had.

And includes the adjustable nobles vary-choke.

John, mines a remington called model 30. It's the humpback.
Prior to your model. The safteys were changed many times. My saftey is located inside of the trigger guard. Just in front of the trigger. Take some getting use to. Later safety was changed to the button on the same model.i think yours is on the back of the action for your thumb. Don't remember exactly. Nope I see it's the button on the trigger guard.

I'm not exactly sure when this one was made. It's hard to nail down.

Certainly pre-68 sometime (no serial #).
