I was wondering when that would come back around. |

I saw shooters shoot the flour and talcum bedded loads. People did it and got away with it, but it was proven to drastically raise pressures. Glad we have good components now. |

Flour or talcum are probably the most effective buffer choices, but as you mention, pressures rise considerably (1000-2500psi according to testing conducted by Roster) so loads must be tailored accordingly. |

If using flour are you required to have a warning label since it's no longer gluten-free? |

Absolutely! Also, for best results, whole wheat should be used to insure a good supply of fiber in the shotgun's diet. |

Not legal for use in California unless Non-GMO. |

Some years ago there was a member at my gun club who used crumpled newspaper for wads in his trap loads. (Used lots of wad pressure when loading.) He had profound disagreement with the editorial policy of the local paper and derived no end of pleasure from blasting their product downrange. |

No warning label. In fact the gluten is my secret weapon. I search out pheasants that are not in wheat stubble. I figure they are avoiding the wheat because they are allergic to gluten. If I miss, a sky filled with powdered wheat will trigger this allergic reaction. Their eyes swell up and their sinus passages collapse causing them to wildly spiral out of control until crashing aground. The dog has them before they know which way is up. |

if my Dad was still with us he'd be asking for your co-members load data and if the the Cleveland Plain Dealer would increase or decrease PSI, I know it increased his. |

Cut into strips, the Plain Dealer made good paper patches for cast lead boolits. That helped lower my pressure when I was young. For reading, the Akron Beacon Journal had better comics. PD was good for everything else: wrapping trash, TP, etc... |
