How Do You Pronounce Cheddite??
Ch(as in chip)ed-ite(as in eye with a T on the end) - accent on the first syllable

I (and almost everyone I know) pronounce it like #1 but have heard that being a French name it should be pronounced like #2

I know it's actually #2, they even have the pronunciation written out on one of their websites I've seen.

But I actually say #1 because I don't want to sound overly urbane.
Also I get credit for the daily word-use challenge now.

I pronounce those hulls as Shi-tee. But I could be wrong. I can't find the word in my old Belitz Teach Yourself French.
