Have a real itch to buy a 16ga over and under. Really have my eye on a nice Browning citori in a field grade but can't seem to find one in Canada. What would be some other options as far as over and unders in 16ga. Its going to be used for duck hunting so I don't want something to fancy. Any info would be great, Thanks

Why not use an over under for waterfowl. I have (12ga) and have hunted with others that used them.

have hunted with o/u and sxs while duck hunting. Actually prefer them to Auto, thinking about getting one for waterfowl, not sure what to get, want it in camo, have been eyeballing a browning cynergy in bottom land camo, might use it on turkey too.

Franchi has a new OU 16. It has an aluminum action so it'll probably kick like a mule with waterfowl loads.

The Huglu O/U's sold by CZ are pretty reliable guns with screw in chokes, steel approved, and a black chrome exterior finish that should be at home in a duck blind. I'm away from my library right now, but I seem to remember a camo finish somewhere in their lineup. They don't have a 16 ga, but DeHaan made a few, they came with fixed chokes and no camo. I bought one off here from another member and it's a nice gun, IC/Mod that is steel approved and should work for duck and geese, but I'm not looking to sell.

I normally use a Browning Citori O/U for waterfowl.

Me too! And I’m in Canada like the OP. You can find them up here if you are looking. I got a White Lightening in 16 ga that I love. My only “modern” gun.

Looks like this fits the bill...

https://www.cdnnsports.com/browning-citori-gran-lightning-16-gauge-26-inch.html?___SID=U#.W8D0odNKhPY

+/- $1900 after rebate is mighty tempting, except for other mandatory purchases this quarter..... c'est la vie...

I don’t know if you are a member of the CGN forums in Canada but their Equipment Exchange is probably the best used gun and hunting/shooting supply source in Canada. Used 16 Gauge Citori show up there as well. Well worth joining if you are not already a member.

Excellent news Pintail. My White Lightning is the closest thing I have to a modern gun. My 870 is circa 1979 and everything else is pre WWII.
