| < 16ga. Guns ~ Which buttstock for M12? |

I need a buttstock for a very early 2 1/2" 16 ga M12, will 12 ga or 20 ga buttstock fit?
It needn't be pretty, it will be subjected to some sawing and filing.

| My model 12 (made 1929) in 16 gauge took a stock made for the 20 gauge frame size. Got mine for Boyds; nothing fancy. Did not care for the finish they used, but it fit without any work. Good luck |

| a 12ga stock will fit also , just needs to have wood from the outside removed for looks ... my trap gun wears a nice stock from the Winnie custom shop - fits fine . |

No, I will leave the grip as is but modify the LOP and pitch, and add a buttpad.
