Does anyone have a load for 1 oz in these hulls? Does the 072sg16 wad work? I assume they use something like universal powder in their "lite" 1oz ammo to get to 1200 fps as dirty as they burn? |

Hodgdon lists several 1oz loads in the 2 3/4” cheddite hull on their website data. If your roll crimping, the fit should be pretty easy in the shorter hull. Not sure if that’s helpful to your situation, but something to go on at least. |

Are you reloading them for hunting loads? Unless you have a load in mind that can't be matched by factory RST's I'd just buy the factory RST's for hunting and load the empties up with 3/4 or 7/8 oz for targets, perhaps grouse/woodcock. Just a thought! |

The RST hulls are excellent but the SG16S wads are preferable over the SG16 for 1 oz loads in 2 1/2" hulls, as they occupy less volume.
For 1 oz loads in 2 1/2" RST hulls, I use 20.5 gr 800X and Cheddite primers which delivers 1236 FPS, 9520 PSI. It's a pretty stout load, quite punishing for extended shooting with a light gun.

I have used the same Cheddite load as Brewster just posted. and found it productive on wild pheasant. I don't get very many loading out of the hulls, though. |

I had this load tested by Tom Armburst awhile back .
Ched Red 2 1/2" hull - once fired
Ched 209 Primer
18.5 grains Unique
Ched 1632b wad from Grafs
1oz 7 1/2 Lawrance Mag shot
5 shots
I don't have the sheet in front me but consistency was good
psi 10900 fps 1225
I shot this load almost exclusively over last season . IMO its the best 1 oz load I have ever shot at birds or clays . Seemed to work well in all the guns I shot it through .
Also loaded at 17.5 grains ( Chrono'd at 1185 fps ) for a little less recoil and this load works very well also. |

Any data on pressure for the 17.5 grain load. |
