I hope I am not violating any rules by posting this here. If it should be elsewhere please advise and I will move it.
This is just a public service announcement to anyone that might be interested in a Marlin Model 90 16 gauge that is in fair-good condition missing a front bead. It is Lot 131. Looks to me like it would be a great shooter.
It is on TheGunrunner Auctions and has 4 days to close. Surprising to me, the price has not moved any in the past 3 days!
In case you are wondering, I have ZERO vested interest in the gun so just wanted to pass it on for those that might. Good luck! Bill

What do the Marlin O/U weigh? It's been a while since I handled one. I saw two in local pawn shops some years back. |

Little creek, Mine weighs 6 1/2 (16ga). I think that's pretty average from previous posts on the subject. |

Looks a tad rough but the price is low. |

Well, I made the price go up some, was winning for a few minutes but was soon outbid. Up to $260 at the moment plus their 10% fee plus $30 or so shipping plus $25 xfer fee upon delivery. Getting into risky cost territory with no more to go on than their blurb and fuzzy pics. Looking for something about like that for banging around the swamps looking to jump puddle ducks and woodcock. |

Fuzzy pics.... Usually covering something.. I've never seen metal with freckles like that.i'd be careful, one will show on GB or here, if you wait long enough.
Your already over 3 bills. |

$290 plus another $85 to be in my hands. If it was not pitted or dented and had no cracks in stock anywhere, as described, it would be just right for my use. But there were too many unknowns for me to risk it. I do want a 26" bbl version, but not a really nice one I would worry about scratching or dinging up. |

Mine is a 28". I'll sometimes use spreaders, as needed. Most of the hunting here, doesn't require a in your face choke.I'd love to find a 26" but they aren't as common, it seems... |
