About BD's trimmer ... I think I've done 50K cases with it on the original blade - still ticking !! Don't use a drill , easy enough to just turn by hand . 28's thru 10's on the one trimmer !

Ditto (except the 50k thing) verbatim! |

You are embarking on a fun and rewarding new pursuit - 2 1/2" 16ga reloading and shooting...the ideal load for the ideal gauge. Once you get the hang of it, the hardest thing will be passing up on all the incredible deals on classic 2 1/2" 16ga guns you will come across. In their day they were the finest scatterguns on the planet (and maybe still are!).
Let us know how it goes, and don't hesitate to bring up any questions.
Good Luck

Thanks for the well wishes Brewster! I killed my 1st squirrel with my father's 16 ga single barrel Stephens ( which I still have when I was 7 yrs old. He gave me a Savage 311D ( which I still have) when I was 15 for Christmas. I got "off track" and shot 12 ga as an adult but I returned to the 16 several years ago and started reloading it. This iIS an adventure! I have since acquired a few more 16"s. |
