I have some years experience reloading metallic cartridges, however I have never even witnessed any shotgun shell reloading. I also do not have any friends around here that do. Therefore, I'm on my own getting started, kinda late to the party, and figure I should start out reading a few very good references on the subj. Would like advice on which books to start reading, and purchase as reference guides for my bench. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you looking for "how to" manuals, data manuals, or other? The Lyman Shotshell Handbooks are good. I also recommend finding a copy of "Shotgunning: The Art and the Science" by Bob Brister. Bob's book and any information from Tom Roster will give you a better understanding about shotshell performance and pellet behavior. There is a tremendous amount of hype in the shotshell world and after conducting a lot of my own tests and experiments I will say that those two gave information that is mighty accurate.

Lyman's 5th edition shot shell manual is a good reference and will get you going.
BPI publishes plenty of stuff, what's good and what isn't from them is up for debate.
