Cold Iron,

I'm using PT-1680 wads (and 'experimental' data which shall not be shared).
I may order some of the other wads to use with the tested data.
The long 12ga shells can be cut down to 3 or less if you have a 12 or traded to someone that does.

Sorry, we strayed off thread topic. Still a neat Browning redo & I'd lobby for it to be in the factory offerings, too.

It's not currently in vogue, but in a pump or auto I vastly prefer a 21"-23" barrel...and english grip. Nice move.

Dave,

Your gun looks great!

Did your gunsmith cut and thread the barrel or did you send it out to another shop? Is the 23” barrel threaded to accept the original Invector DS chokes or another thread pattern?

Thanks

Briley did all the work and the barrel now has Briley Thinwalls. The barrel was cosmetically rough, so after the Briley work was completed I had my local gunsmith reblue it. It took some dinking around and cash, but the results are worth it. The short barrel will stay on the gun, but I'll swap it for the 28" on the prairies.
