Faded case on one sideplate, 90% on the other sideplate. 70% original wood finish, original checkering - "just as bad as when it was new", 90% orginal barrel blue.

How much is it worth?

A friend is at the gunshow in Las Vegas found it and called me.

I think the 32" barrels are cool!

Here's a recent thread from the LCSCA site regarding 16g with 32" brls being very rare:

Thanks Doc. Would you please give me your best guess of value if the gun I described had 28 or 30 inch barrels?

Thanks!

Mike

If it's as clean as this 12g http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=63336343 it could be a $2000 gun. Significantly more if indeed 32" brls with serial #s matching.

Mike: Clearly LCs have been well behind the perceived value and desirability of Parker and Fox guns, and until recently the last really good deals out there seemed to be Ithaca NIDs and LCs. 16s are catching up to 20s now, and quality LCs are approaching Fox prices. There are, however, lots of beat up 12g Field Grades out there and I personally think an honestly used but not abused Sterlingworth is a better investment/'shooter.' Remember, LCs were being made years after the other makers gave up on SxSs.
