Oldhunter, Very nice dog. You should be happy that he has the good manners to sleep in a normal position. Here is my dog sound asleep after a full day hunt last week..................... Rolling Eyes
And he snores too!

UH ---Birdswatter I thought that was the natural position for the dog to dream about finding more birds the next day,,,and the snoring is NOT an option---that let's us know we did our part to keep Rover in shape.

My dogs are combination house pests and bird dogs. My wife has noted many times on how they sleep two days after we return from a hunting trip.

Laughing I am aware of that and it's no problem. I was addressing how unusual Oldhunter's dog is to recline/sleep so normally. Now if I could just fix the farting thing...............

Right now mine is actually sleeping in his own bed, It's back here in my office. But he has also claimed the couch with the pillow. He's a dreamer. Has some real loud dreams at times. I quess he's chasing that next rooster or grouse. He doesn't know he's a labrador retriever though. Thinks he's some kind of odball pointer. Have to tell him to flush the pheasants.

I quess from those pictures, my dog is not normal. Well I knew that. He's spoiled rotten. I went down to Pine River today to see if the 16 gauge Brevette was still there. Well it wasn't. Anyway as it's a warm winter up here in Minnesota, I put the dog out in the kennel. 16ft. x 8ft. open, 16ft. x 4 ft. covered. Oak foor in the covered area. Also a 4ft. x 5ft. insulated house. Anyway he was not to happy with me. Anyway I have bird feders in the yard also. In the summer when I've been working and he's in the kennel the birds water out of his dish. Today after letting him out, he decided all those little birds should go. I ques to make it up I'll go up phesant hunting next Tuesday. Don't want him mad at me.
