I just picked up my Browning Citori 16 gauge. I got it from Blackbart. Great guy to deal with. I am excited to get to the range for a round or two of skeet.

Looks great. Let us know how your first round of Skeet went with your new tool.

First rounds of skeet went okay. I was having high house headaches on almost every post. Still managed a 17 and an 18 for the two rounds I shot with the new Browning. I switched to another shotgun and still was dropping high house birds. Don't know what I was doing but at least I was consistent. I am pretty rusty. It's been a few months since I shot any skeet.
Very pleased with the Browning. It handles very well. It ought to make a dandy upland gun. |

Great report,
Try this perhaps, you are leading with your head and not the gun.
Easy to do and not know that you are doing it and all looks just
fine except the target does not break!
For the high houses, ensure your head remains in contact with the stock.

My mantra especially on High 2 is to never let it get ahead of the gun and play catch-up. |

I've been shooting skeet for 30 years. Once in a while I hit a stretch like this. It's hard to get a good gun mount when my head is in my third point of contact. |

Maybe a quick session at a pattern board might show the gun shooting a little low or left?? That was my issue with my Citori, hitting right to left'ers but left to right gave me fits, changed the stock fit a bit (pitch) centered the pattern, good to go. |

I shot a few rounds from each barrel on the splatter plate. For me it shoots centered left to right and roughly 60/40 on the bottom barrel and 70/30 on the top barrel. |
