We're OK in south central Kansas; beaucoup rain but no twisters. Can't say the same for Oklahoma though. Brutal. Hope everybody's keeping their heads down.

I drove over to Girard, KS today to work my dog on some quail and every creek and river I crossed was out of its banks and flooding adjacent property, West of Pittsburg, KS along hwy 400 there were a lot of mangled and uprooted trees. More storms tonight are beating up the same area.

I just got home to SE Kansas from a trip up above KC yesterday and found everything as I left it. Including the three inches of water standing in my yard{and I live on top of the bluff over the Neosho River which is flooded the most it has been in the six years that I have been in this area.

My new favorite skeet club(69clays at Miami, Ok) is close enough to the river that Bill probably has removed the low house trap to prevent damage. I'll have to check to see if we will be shooting on Saturday or sandbagging the place.

Gentlemen,

I hope all of you living in the mid west are ok, here in Pa we have been having a wet summer, however we have not really been flooded, and usually have few twisters to worry about.

Hope everyone is safe!

The skies have cleared and the southern breezes are warming us up to the 80's today. I shot trap league last evening with sunshine and light breezes and managed two rounds in the 20's. The clays looked big as garbage can lids and flew true for a welcome change. My biggest concern now is the 3 acre yard drying out enough to mow before I have to get it baled. More storms forecast for the weekend, hopefully I won't be driven into my Twister Safe shelter again. I have a love/hate relationship with that danged Midland weather alert radio. Someone did a great job of designing an alert signal guaranteed to blast you out of bed and you wake up standing in the middle of the floor with a severe case of "flight or fight." I'm ready to get back to plain old summer thunderstorms.

bobski,

There are good reasons to live in the Pa mountains, very few times are we effected drastically by mother nature.

bobski,

You are so right, our gas taxes alone are completely insane, the tax and spend Communist progressives own the Democratic party, especially here in Pa.
