I actually bought 6 boxes of Winchester LB (low brass) 1 1/8 oz 1185 WAA wad in a WCF hull last fall. I'm not sure if any of the major manufactures are still loading the 1 1/8 oz field load. I assume the cost of lead vs powder made it more economically feasible to drop back to 1 oz for the field loads and then market the 1 1/8 oz only as "high brass" and price accordingly. Just no way to market a 1 1/8 oz 1185 fps field load as premium and get the desired market position but these used to be the the field load. Any other thoughts or reason why these have disappeared from the market? |

They disappeared from the market as they were too expensive to produce for the price point in the Olin line.
I loved them and still load some sometimes |

I hope this will help. Link to Winchester reloading manuals.
14th edition has 16ga. recipes . With notations to closely reproduce Winchester loads.
