Earlier in this thread I posted how I tried using Red Loctite to keep Cheddite primers from falling out of Rio hills. It was a dumb idea. The primers indeed stay seated but they don’t seal and now the inside of the M12 action is covered with fine gray grime. Don’t do it. Just use primers that fit properly.

Another way around the large primer issue is to buy the Primer Pocket tool from Precision Reloading.
It is a bit boring to resize the primer pockets, but you don't have to be concerned about what the primer change is doing to your favorite reload.
Besides I use 4 different primers as it is. The last thing I need is to keep a 5th, 6th, 7th primer in my inventory. |
