Hello everyone
IM dealing with the Vice President of Hornady Corp.
I’m discussing the possibility of hornady remanufactoring the 16 gauge die sets
And complete 16 gauge reloader.IM convinced there are a lot of people out there
That would be interested in either the die sets or complete reloader. So here’s the deal
I need your input please reply to this post if there is interest in either.
Every and all replies will be forwarded to Hornady Corp. The more interest I get the
More feasible it will be for Hornady to put the 16 gauge back in circulation.
Thanks for your time.

Are you talking the 366 or one of the earlier Pacific single stage presses? |

GREAT!!
For both the 155 and the 366 would be wonderful
Currently they only catalog the 366 press.
Should be an easy conversion with them having the specs from
when last made

I don’t think they would have a problem selling out a limited production run of die sets. They don’t last long when they rarely come up for sale. |

I'd buy two sets of dies for the old presses & maybe more if they also did a metallic 16ga carbide sizing die. |

I'd be all for it.
You may get the same answer as I've gotten from wad manufacturers, press manufacturers, etc, Just not enough money in it for the.
So it goes |

Hope that all works out with Hornady. The 366 is a nice reloader. In the event Hornady can't come through with new 16 gauge parts, and you cannot locate a 16 gauge Pacific/Hornady loader or dies, it looks like it would not be too much of a trick to make your own 16 gauge die set for the 366. For some of the parts, Stations 6 and 8 particularly, stuff from MEC and others could be modified and adapted. Station 7 is the one requiring the most machine work, I think. Use the appropriate 20 gauge and 12 gauge parts as starting points to machine parts for station 7. Got a buddy with a lathe?
If you don't want to screw around with that, I guess you're stuck with the other brands that do make 16 gauge progressive or single-stage loaders. They all do a good job. |

I've used a 366 in both 12 & 20 ga for years (two machines) I would love to convert the 20 to 16 ga as I sold my two 20 ga guns years ago. I've loked off and on for a 16 die set for a long time. Even figured out how to convert my 20 ga set to 16. Requires some tricky machine work on the crimp die - the rest is not too difficult. |

New in the box 366 runs $700 in 12 ga.
NIB die set $325. (12 or 20)
Wonder what the 16 ga. Would run? |

I could sure use a 16 gauge die set for the ol Pacific DL 250 that I have in 20 gauge.
Or a new loader DL 250 style.
Or the DL 155 new.

I have 2 366 in 12 ga. Found an old 16 ga die set on eBay for the 366. That’s why I bought the 2nd reloader. Put on the die set but it was for on older machine I guess did not work very well. Ended up selling that die set and converted that reloader to 12ga.
I would LOVE to get a die set for the more current machine in 16ga. Been thinking about getting a progressive MEC for 16 but used is hard to find and new is$$$$$$$.

A 366 in 16 gauge would be nice. Even though I recently picked up the tooling to convert an old progressive Texan from 12 to 16. I believe the 366 is a far better reloader if convertible. |
