Dannypratt has a very similar gun to mine. (please post a picture to compare if possible).
Also, I am still unsure about the trigger guard. I'm not convinced its horn even though it "should be". Could it be bakelite?
It has a tiny side to side wiggle but no up and down. the lever is just a smidge left of center too. Looks to have been used but not abused.
Balance is right on the hinge and the metal to metal and the wood to metal fit is superb.
I put it back together and set it aside. I bought this gun hoping it would be a good foundation for a custom build. Still not 100% sure... |

I have the identical gun but with a steel trigger guard. Mine was made in 44’ and has the Nazi wings stamped on the flats. They’re great guns, mine weighs 6lbs 2oz’s. I will be selling mine probably after the new year. I had my chokes opened to IC/MOD and my smith went completely through it, it’s ready for another 100 years. |
