I received this email was asked to post it for him on GunTalk.
--16ga.
I have a case of shells, 16 ga. Pinfire. There are 84 shells out of 100 in the paper case.
On the case it says
Mapque Deposee (Means trade mark)
VH
Douilles (shells)
Lefaucheux (the manufactures name)
Calibre 16
The shell were my great grandfathers, he passed in the early 1900's. These are very old but in good shape. My research takes them back to the 1800s as Lefaucheux made the guns and the load-able shells between 1830 and 1880.
Someone out there wants these for their collection I'm sure. I do not know a value but will part with them for a fair price.
Contact me if interested.
