Isn't 11500 PSI the SAAMI max for 16 ga. It looks like some of these at room temp were over that, but its hard to read the picture. Might be an issue for a day that starts out cold then warms as the sun comes up.
|
Remember keeping within SAAMI specs is totally voluntary as is membership. Guess Boss didn't volunteer??? |

Wakeman is the undisputed king of selectively editing of other peoples' research. At least the Saami table is legit. The rest, take with a grain of salt. |

That sheet isnt THeir SAAMI test sheet, obviously. Its a nice extra 3 shot quality test they did at temps just to add for nice marketing.
1. I would absolutely expext indiv rounds to be above 11500 saami max AVERAGE pressure if shells are loaded for duck and up towards MAP. In fact, for a shell at 11500 roughly half shhould be above that AVERAGE. totally fine.
2. Unbelievable... one company goes.way beyond and adds a nice test sheet, and someone still bitc $*@ and moans. Give a starving man a meal, and he complains you didnt buy him a grocery store... |

I’ve followed them on Facebook for a couple years now, never bought anything from them. It was just last week they announced offerings in the sub guages.
The waxed bag is new as if the last few weeks as well. They spun it as “you get a waxed bag, the girl in their shop doesn’t have to waste time boxing shells, and there won’t be empty boxes laying in the marsh like we all have seen in the past”.
I think they’re pretty hardcore duck hunters based on their pictures. |

Where are these BOSS shotshells made? When I saw BOSS, I immediately thought of England, is this not the case?

From what I can see, the company has no ties to Boss over in England. They are based out of Michigan. |

Dave in AZ,
Yup I did complain.
I should have gone by the old "if you can't say anything nice than don't say anything at all".
If I have offended anyone, my sincere apology.
I have deleted my previous post. |

Made in Michigan.
The shot is supposedly made in house and plated in house, which is the bottleneck as of now I’ve been told.
16ga is back in stock....for now. |

I suspect there will be more of a bottleneck now: https://www.facebook.com/bossshotshells/posts/631507590712131:0

Ugh. That's so tragic. Almost been there myself a couple of times, as I'm sure many of us have. So sad. |

Sad story. I believe the man that passed away was from MN and Boss is made in MI.
I think the “one of our own” reference is referring to another waterfowler.
I don’t think this will affect boss shot shell production. |
