I bought a FAIR Islide SxS last year from John Boyd in Houston. Very happy with the gun and John. Got exactly what I wanted in the way of barrel length, grip, trigger etc.

also bought one from John last year, I like it but a bit too long for me, I need to get it fitted, didn't get around to it this summer. Will this spring or summer in time for next fall.
Its light, should make pretty good quail/dove/chicken/hun/chukar/pheasant gun

I posted a review of mine in Aug after the first 3 boxes. I've hunted pheasants with it several times and I find that with heavy clothing, the 15" LOP is pretty long for my 5" 10" body. I also found that 1 1/8 oz 1275 fps loads push the back of the trigger guard into my middle finger leaving a nasty bruise.

I installed a rubber bumper from Beretta and that cured the problem with the bruised finger. Other than beating me up with heavy loads, I've no complaints. Function has been perfect.

The gun is very light and easy to carry but to be honest, I like my new Browning A-5 S16 better. Its a couple oz lighter, fits better with heavy clothing and doesn't require me to remember the second trigger.

With 3/4 oz loads its a lot of fun on the skeet field but its not my go to pheasant gun.

I rolled in the exact opposite direction. My Iside knocked my A5-SW16 into irrelevance. No knock on the SW16, it's a wonderful upland auto, I just shoot my Iside so much better, and 2 shots is more than enough when they tend to go where you want them to go. I had the length set to my cold weather hunting clothes, and I use a slip-on pad for T-shirt weather. The Iside is too new to make statements on it's reliability. I took the extra steps to make sure my Iside fits and the gun has exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary.

Did any of yall get a model with ejectors? I would prefer a model that has ejectors and double triggers, but i am not sure this is available.

How are the triggers out of the box? Crisp and not too heavy?

Thanks for the info, gents!

The ejectors start with the Iside EM model. A friend of mine has a 16 gauge EM, and he's been very pleased with the gun over the last 3 years he's owned it. The triggers are nice and not heavy at all. I haven't measured mine, but based on how my gun shoots I wouldn't change a thing.

I have an Iside basic in 20 gauge and really like it. It’s a dream to carry with the rounded receiver.

Swampy, the software has had a glitch for a while and we just post around it.

After you press the "submit" button just scroll up and click the big blue banner and you're first post wiil be in the right spot. Ignore the debug bug.

Sorry about the multiple replies. It kept telling me it wasn’t posting and I’m a newbie here. I guess it’s just a glitch. One of my buds on UJ tipped me off.
