Cabelas in Owatana(sp) has a nice Model 600 with case color and 28" barrels with double triggers. The price $1700. I wonder which one of our board members will have this one soon?

Wow - that is a nice gun. I was surprised to see double triggers on it. 6pounds 7 ounces and 28" barrels, screw in chokes, shoot anything Walmart sells in it without worry.

Here is a link:

Thanks Ron, that is an interesting gun.

Yea Hoashooter, I do remember. I used to go to a shop in Spokane when I was in my late teens, early 20's. You might find Al Biesen there talking shop with the owner and other gun junkies. I wasn't emboldened enough to join in, but I'd hang within earshot to try and pick-up some tidbit, of who know's how many years of accumulated knowledge.

You could ask about a gun on the rack and get a 10 minute talk, if not too busy, on that particular make and model and an honest opinion on quality. It not only was their livlihood, but their passion.

FYI,I know what your saying about the nice little gun shop down the corner,I live not to far from the Owatonna store and every time I go in the big mans room you don't get the one on one service from them, they would rather be on line looking at guns then sell you a gun,if you ask about a gun they don't even get out of there chair. I was in the store in michell Sd not to long ago and a hole differant story you were the customer and any think you whated he was there for you, they say we are MN nice but Cabela's gun room well like I said another story sorry for the venting.PS looks like a nice gun.
